I bought this product last time it was offered and noticed that a few people posted about it not being able to play .avi files. I had no trouble with it until last week when it stuttered and stopped on two "top gear" files I had downloaded. So I went and downloaded them again from a different source and they both played perfectly. So check your files if you have problems. Apart from that, what a great product and a sensational price.

It doesn`t play AVI files well. I have tried to play a wide range of TV Shows and Movies. All created by diff groups and different spec AVIs. I have had the same results with everyone of them, I can not get right through the file before the picture stops only thing it will let you do is turn it OFF. So if you think it can play AVI files well it doesn`t end of story..

Hi Ray Thanks for your reply on this product. Almost all AVI files that the advert for this product says it will play are compressed (IE Video Decoder : RM, RMVB, MPEG1/2/4, Divx 3.11, Divx4/5/6, 3ivx, Xvid, VCD, DVD (mpeg, mpg, vob, dat, avi, mp4) ) So what the supplier is saying is just silly. If it can`t play compressed AVI files ( IE - Divx and Xvid) then it shouldn`t be promoted that it does in the specs of the product you are selling.

hi pchelphere, thanks for your info, i am not particularly familiar with compressed files myself therefore i will need to investigate further, although by the time i have a definite answer this stock would have expired, but never mind, we will stand by the product and support it if and when there is any problem or issue, having said that, i really haven't had complaints about it so far (until now that is) after selling a couple of hundred units in the last few weeks. email us again at admin@ozstock.com.au if anyone has any problems. thanks ray
