the info in the ad is all i have at the moment, but if you would like to find out more, you can try manufacturer's website www.hotway.com.tw. email me at admin@ozstock.com.au if you have any specific questions.

The fan is really noisy. The user interface is pretty basic and slow, and one thing that is driving me mad right now is the lack of any kind of "fast forward" or chapter skip. It can play VOB rips from DVD, and I have tried an XVID encoded AVI with no problems. Have only been able to try composite and stereo audio so far (can't get behind my receiver easily to test component & digital audio) The manufacturer's website doesn't even have a reference to this model other than an obscure driver which appears not to be necessary anyway (for Vista at least). Would be really nice to get more info on this before it ends up being just an external hard drive (which is appears to do perfectly well, if not excessively noisily)

pls email us at admin@ozstock.com.au for support issues, you are of course welcome to leave comments here, just emails would normally get replied to quicker. i am currently not familiar with the problems you are describing, would need to test it or talk to my supplier about it first, will get back to you via email (so please do email us if that is ok with you). cheers raymond

Raymond, Have emailed. Thanks. ps. this is just honest feedback on my experience, I don't want it to be overly negative. I might just have a "problem" one. I really like the concept and maybe a firmware update might address some of these issues. I'd be absolutely wrapped if I can get it sorted out.
