hi lydiatattoo, it's got a light sensor, so it will turn on automatically at night, however, there is also an on/off switch so you can turn this feature off too if you so wish
cheers

Like loretta68 I would like to know how bright they are (how many LEDs per light and what type?). I have seen many so called lights that only just manage to illuminate the area they are in.

hi both,
it's a 3-LED light, i can't really tell you "how bright" as everyone's perception of brightness might be different, especially given it is a solar light operating on rechargeable Ni-Cd AA batteries (so one would not expect that to be even close to as bright as an AC powered one), plus i don't have anything to meature brightness with........i guess i can only say it's sort of like a LED torch, and i don't think it's comparable to 40W globe. hope this helps.

I bought 4 of these spotlights at a cost of $54.75 in July and you would be better off hiring a couple of glow worms, these light are absolutely useless,I have bought lots of stuff from Ozstock and on the whole and for the price it's been good, but these lights are just crap. The light beam shines for about 50cm and cannot be seen from a distance of any more than 8 meters and then only just. As I said they are just rubbish don't waste your time and hard earned money.
