How about an Ex-Government-Lease LAPTOP/NOTEBOOK Computer for a similar price... Now that would be the kind of deal I would DEFINITELY go for!

hi glenfran, yes the computer is internet ready as it comes with a network card, but it's not wireless, you need to purchase a wireless adapter if you want to go wireless, which should cost around $10-15 these days, we sell these things too in this website, you can keep an eye out for it if you need one, or email admin@ozstock.com.au. cheers ray

Hi Ray I don't need the desktop to be wireless but my present desktop is connected to a wireless broadband modem. Does that mean I would still need an adapter. Thanks.

hi MareeSmith, unfortunately i am not sure on the usb spec, but i guess you can purchase usb 2.0 pci card if you must have usb 2.0, by the way, we happen to sell these cards too if you are interested, they should be around $7 each plus shipping, you can email admin@ozstock.com.au. cheers ray

hi glenfran, if you desktop is connected the "wireless modem" via a wire (cat 5 network cable), then of course you don't need a wireless adapter, but if your modem/router/switch is out of spare ports, then your only choice is to go wireless, in which case an adapter is required. fyi, usually "wireless modem" also has a wired ethernet switch built in which usually contains at least 4 ports, so if you have spare ports left you can always connect to internet using a cat 5 ethernet cable. i am not sure if i have answered you correctly, hope i have. cheers ray

I am tonight feeling a little guarded/suspicious of the practices of this provider. Only one night ago, I purchased a product that I felt was good value. This is not the the first purchase here, but was feeling that they appeared to be moral and sometimes excellent prices. What bothers me is the fuzziness of protocol/business practice when a product changes price (upward) overnight, but suddenly has free postage. This is not a mega financial issue (is only $5 difference) - but $5 across 1000 customers, or a 100000 customers can become big business. Is there a fair trading agreement/forum to provide decent feedback across multiple online providers ? Think we need to get some more warnings out there if the providers are doing this regularly

Machine works and looks great, but cannot get any sound whatsover, not even Windows default. Hoping someone can assist me. Have emailed Ozstock for assistance. Hope they can assist. Put in speaker connections correctly. Realtek audio still no go. Hope it's only a small problem I can fix from home.

Hi I would like to see the answer for JDT1986 about ex gov Laptops can we get them on here? If so how much after all we taxpayers pay for them so why buy them back at a discount. This may sound stupid but by government you mean what exactly Local, State, Federal, or some third world country goverment computors there are major differences
