Freeview compliance requires MPEG4 but this unit only states it has MPEG2 which means it is impossible for it to be Freeview compliant.
What else is wrong with the description?

Will this set top box play movies in format .xvid .avi etc via USB connection from a hard drive/USB stick?

I bought one of these new, the firmware upgrade is a must!
they are slightly buggy as a pvr or media player which they do okay, as a set top box it workd fine
