Some interesting facts about DVI:

A DVI (digital visual interface) cable allows you to receive the best digital picture when using an LCD (liquid crystal display) flat panel, TV or digital projector.  A VGA (video graphics array) cable transmits data in analog format, which is not as great as digital.

With DVI, your display images will run seamlessly.  With VGA, your images will suffer signal loss or corruption.

DVI delivers digital data, meaning you'll have a clearer image.  VGA won't give you this crisp image that you'll find with DVI.

Note, you need DVI port at the computer side as well as the monitor side for this to work.
