- play from USB (if I put in a USB stick witha MP4 can I play the movie)
- write to USB (can I record from broadcast to USB for later playback)

hi xfixiate,
the box or the book doesn't seem to mention anything about divx, so my guess is it does not support it. but if you have media file converter (free from internet) then you can convert it to the supported format and play it off the player.
