hi pat_shiva, this is universal av capture device, so as long as your IQ2 has normal rca av output, it should work. cheers ray

This package includes old software. Is the Version 8 Ulead Software updatable to Version 11, or the latest on offer, without additional expense? Regards Ross

Hi Ray From a quick Google, it seems that to get legal copy of Corel's Ulead Ver 11 [which came out on 2007], one has to pay. This is a buyer beware situation. There are of course the discreet Torrent processes. For me this was more of a semantic question, because I use Prof Editing software, but sometimes one would use quick and simple editing and authoring software. Regards Ross

I also noticed the OS only supports XP so I'm guessing that wont work with Vista.
can you plug this into your foxtel IQ2 and copy from it? Posted by: pat_shiva
Yes you can. I have a similar unit I got from somewhere else for 3 times this price unfortunately. I have copied a few shows I recorded on my IQ2 to DVD. You actually have to plug the usb stick into you desktop or laptop's usb port then you just plug an audio / video cable into the back of the USB stick and to the back of your IQ2. Can't remember what software came with mine at the moment but it worked on my laptop which is running windows Vista with no problems. You need a whole lot of free space on your hard drive though as the recordings take up a lot of space, especially if you are trying to copy a show you recorded in High Definition. Once you get them on your hard drive you can convert them onto a blank DVD so you can watch them on any DVD player but it takes a few hours to do each one so it's time consuming. Wish I had have waited for a bit longer before I bought mine as this one is a whole lot cheaper to buy and looks exactly the same.
