Hi,
I can recommend these, I bought one from a Computer Swap stall a couple of months ago for $80, so this is cheap. I guess I should have waited!!!
It gets all stations, Analogue & Digital. The only gripe is with the remote, it has no Play/Pause buttons, but with a laptop the keys aren't far away.

hi jenkos, thanks for the comments. the remote thing is new to me, and it sounds a bit silly, what's a remote without a "play"? i wonder how hard it is to include such funtions in it, shouldn't be too hard i wouldn't think.

on second thought, is play/pause important for a card primarily used for TV? maybe it is if you use it for recording a lot........still, it would be nice to have it, i guess
